Is there a specific gun in mind?

Is anyone out there aiming to spend more time getting to know a particular gun?

Two as a matter of fact. First, I have talked about it here before, is my new to me M1 Carbine, 1943 IBM. Have some tweaking to do on it and get some rounds down range. The second is my newly built across the course AR. Will be the first time going across the course with optics. For a long time I wanted to stay old school with my irons. Until last year when I could no longer read the number boards at 600 yards, it sucks to get old.
