I'm really here to dive into the world of rifle maintenance, especially when it comes to dealing with the harsh coastal conditions. The salt air around here can be pretty tough on metal! I'm also looking to connect with fellow hunters from New England. Excited to be part of this group!

Hi there! Welcome! You’re so right about that salty air, it can be really harsh on firearms. You’ll find a bunch of fellow New Englanders here who understand what you’re up against. Looking forward to your input!

Happy holidays to you as well!

First off welcome to the forum. As for the great Maine weather. If your not into full surface refinishing , duracoat or cericoat. Then continual oil coating. I use FP-10. I use that stuff on everything. Also when you do find the spot you missed, Big 45 pads with oil will remove the surface rust without effecting the blued surfaces.
