Currently trying to know what works well in the cold and what’s a struggle to draw while I’m layered up in 6 pieces of insulation

RhenZZ, that can be a challenge. Depending on how deep the cloths and what I'm doing . if I'm just running to do simple chores, a few minutes out, I leave things as normal. if I'm hunting or plowing, heavy layers you speak of, I will add a second belt that hangs outside. My work gun is a Vaquero in long colt. I can get to it easily. It's on a drop holster so it stays out of the way till I need it . also remember to shorten up the stock, if adjustable, on your long gun.
