I've gotten into the habit of jotting down notes after each range session, things like group sizes, drills I ran, and what I need to work on next time. It's helped me see real improvement over time instead of just guessing. Do you track your progress every time you hit the range?

Yeah man, I log my range days too, ammo used, groups, even weather. It helps spot patterns fast..beats just winging it and wondering why shots drifting one week and tight the next

Yea, logging those details really connects the dots. Weather especially makes a big difference that's easy to overlook. Do you use a notebook, or have you moved to an app for tracking?

Most of the guns that I compete with have data books. I also try to have a plan before I get to the range of what I want accomplish and set goals in those areas.

Do you prefer using a notebook or an app? I'm thinking about going digital myself. It seems like it would make sorting through and comparing my sessions way easier 😁

Agree with par3... for general notes and drills ranch digital is best, but if you are working with specific systems, guns that you complete with that require adjustments during firing like across the course high-power. Then a data book works better. Just don't do like I did ,last year put notes in 2 of my data books from CMP matches in Vermont , but didn't read them till I got to Vermont this year. It only works if you read them.
