For hunters using a suppressor, is it still beneficial if you're shooting regular (subsonic) ammo? What are the main advantages when you’re not opting for subsonic rounds? If you’re working with something like a .22 Creedmoor, are you handloading subsonic rounds? If so, which bullets have been performing the best for you?

GerArd, a lot to unpack there. If you are looking for the least amount of report in the woods then sub sonic is the way to go. If your looking at just protecting your ears, standard rounds are easier to get a better cost point. The normal ranges in the Maine woods subs can preform well. Open long fields present other issues . As for reloading, target shooting and hunting round doffer in ballistic performance . Like I said a lot to unpack in a short statement.

I tend to go with supersonic loads in my Creedmoor and rely on the suppressor to do its thing. You still experience a clear reduction in blast and recoil, and you don’t give up any of the ballistic performance that makes that round so effective.
