To be successful in waterfowl hunting, you need to know the flight paths and where the birds like to feed. How do you set up trail cameras for ducks or geese, and what have you learned from watching their patterns?

I don’t count on them as much as I do for deer. I usually place one at the edge of a field or along a levee where I know birds like to chill or wander, especially geese. I keep them far enough back so I don’t scare anything away. From my experience, birds are definitely creatures of habit… until they switch things up. I’ve had cameras capture geese hitting the same spot at nearly the same time for days, then they just disappear when the pressure increases. This has been useful for figuring out when to hunt more than where to hunt.

Lear or Learn something everyday . Really didn't realize you could use them for waterfowl . Was thinking of the old field cams that took a shot every 3 to 5 minutes, then flipping through them. I don't do to much in waterfowl world, but it's good info to have .
