Growing up in a small town, hunting and shooting were pretty much the norm for everyone. I kicked things off with a .22, just having a blast plinking at cans, and eventually worked my way up to hunting bigger game.

I began with a .22 and worked my way up over time. Those early days of casual plinking remain some of the most fun I’ve had shooting.

That really sounds like how a lot of us got started. Plinking with a .22 in a small town probably pulled more people into this hobby than anything else.
