I've been thinking about upgrading my folding knife and would love to hear what everyone else is using. What are your go-to blades for daily carry? I'd appreciate any insights and feel free to share some pics if you can!

This is my Gerber moneyclip; always with me unless I'm flying!

Aside from fencing with foils and sabers aeons ago, and some Live Steel training with the Maine Renaissance Faire, none of the blades of which can be folded and stuffed in a pocket, I'm quite comfortable with a cutlass or rapier.

I've just been carrying a tiny Garret Wade 2-blade folder for the past few years. Perhaps less useful in a knife fight than a broken toothbrush, I suppose.

It amazes me how few men carry a pocket knife these days, especially the under 50 crowd. Whether it be Christmas or a birthday gift opening occasion, I'm usually the only one who has a knife in his pocket. The kids all know who to ask. "Grandpa has a knife" will be heard as someone struggles to open a gift!

My pocket knife is a 2 blade Buck. My working knife is a run of the mill assisted opener. Don't want to spend alot on it, paid considerly less for it than the buck. But I also beat the heck out of, has doubled as a screwdriver , opened paint cans, and the such. Now my rifleman's knife is a 12 in Damascus steel the looks a lot more expensive than it is.

Yeah, I typically have at least 3 knives on my person, and occasionally more. My 38 year old son is never without at least one. We are also the "gift openers"...

1. Gerber money-clip knife
2. Fold-up credit-card knife in wallet
3. Swiss Army Executive on keyring

Others:
Mini-Leatherman on lanyard with USB flash drive & bit set
Mini Multi-Tool on lanyard with Windows 10 Installer kit

I get it, my wife gets s sideways look everytime she asks if I have my knife on me. After almost 22 years she is finally getting into the habit of saying can I barrow your knife .
In one of Townsend Whelen 's now out of print books. He mention his sister that is a 3rd grade teacher and I quote " every 8 year old boy should have a knife in his pocket and know how to use it ". Those were the days

Those were the days! I had a pocket knife with me at all times from 5th grade on and have the scars to prove it... :ROFLMAO:
