Are duty pistols really getting better?

When you check out the latest announcements, do you notice any genuine advancements in service pistols or is it just a bunch of marketing hype trying to make things look fresh?

Somethings are advancements others are hype. Some minor changes like gens of glock, textures, finger grooves seem like hype, but customers ask for it and they produce it. Still wish they would install a detter stock trigger. The biggest advancements l feel is in the optics, most duty guns are now optics ready or come with optics all ready installed. And once you get into the grove, they shrink groups considerably. Some of the materials in frames make for a lighter brick on the hip after 8 or 9 hours. Just like backpacking ounces become pounds real fast.
