Anyone running carbine gas?

With all the components we have today, is there still a real benefit to using carbine gas on a 16" rifle?

All my MSR 's run standard gas systems. I keep that standard over all the pistol, carbine, and rifle platforms for ease of maintenance. I keep spare gas tubes for each, nothing new, fancy, or proprietary. If it works why fix it. Most of my lowers run full or modified milspec parts as well.

Totally agree! It’s important to keep things consistent and really know your systems inside and out. Standardization has its perks that extend beyond just performance. As long as your carbines are operating reliably, that’s what really counts. I appreciate your insight.
